The client, a high-traffic children’s library based in Baltimore, was looking for a particular style of furniture. They wanted a table that was strong on function and style, but would also be distinctive and be in keeping with its role as an educational facility. After an exhaustive search of the market, the client ultimately decided that their best answer would be to partner with fluidconcepts for our ability to provide practical solutions geared towards our client’s needs.
To execute this plan, we studied the client’s facility to see how it was used, and looked at the end users to find out what their needs were. The optimal solution: Edge tables outfitted with special acrylic partitions to create the individualized study spaces. Fresh and unique, we set upon a finished product that would add to their environment, and inspire the end user to further their knowledge.
The total scope of the project eventually extended to 95 customized study carrels and computer workstations, an installation that helped elevate the library’s academic atmosphere. Having all of their needs met, the client was extremely satisfied with our customized solution.
